This black and white photography features the artist, English singer, musician and actor David Bowie with dyed red hair, a hat and a mustard yellow suit designed by Freddie Burretti, photographed for a magazine in Los Angeles, 1974.  David Bowie is undoubtedly the king of personal invention in fashion and Freddie Buretti ran up many of Bowie’s early stage looks and is credited by the singer himself as “the ultimate co-shaper of the Ziggy look.”
