PHOTOGRAPHER: ANTOINE VERGLAS
This portrait of Carla Bruni, one of the top models of the 80's and 90's, was taken at the Carlyle Hotel in New York in 1991. It is the continuation of a series of photographs that Antoine Verglas started very early on in his career for Elle France in 1989, featuring the most famous models of the time at the peak of their fame in the confidential setting of their everyday life.
In 1991, the Italian-French Bruni was 24 and was among the highest paid fashion models. She had starred in campaigns for Guess was walking the runway for Versace .
