Crushed Budweiser beer can photographed by Arthur Belebeau

The can

This up-close image of a crushed, rusted, and torn Budweiser beer can may literally represent something we would think of as used and flattened, but because of Belebeau’s techniques in capturing the object photographically, it visually alludes to an American flag waving in the wind.

Belebeau’s style is characterized by high definition, high color contrast with an almost surreal intensity applied to models and objects alike. This signature style is realized through his “poppy lighting" mixing hard lights with softer, more flattering lights.
