Our Notes
Bruno Poinsard’s work is deeply shaped by a life spent between continents and horizons.
Raised across Africa—between the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, and Morocco—he developed an early sensitivity to light, color, and atmosphere, a sensibility further refined during his years as a cruise manager, when the sea became both subject and constant companion. Captivated by its ever-changing moods, Poinsard began to photograph the water as one would observe a living presence.
His visual language was later honed alongside some of the most influential figures in fashion photography, including Dominique Issermann, Patrick Demarchelier, Walter Chin, Emmanuelle Hauguel, and Michel Perez.
Today, his universe celebrates a sun-drenched life by the sea, evoking the luminous calm of Caribbean and Pacific waters. Bathed in warm, vibrant tones, his images convey a sense of lightness, joy, and suspended time—an eternal summer, where the horizon promises both escape and serenity.
